My deejay weekend

This past weekend was rough and tough for me...but such is the nature of a SUSPECT!

My first party was postponed a week cause Columbus was buried in about 10 inches of snow. I did get together and put together a tribute to Notorious B.I.G. and another episode of the Rich NYCe show. So I'm cool with that. Nothing like progress..

First Fridays comes around which is actually the 2nd weekend(see snow comment) and it started off a little slow...Kat Wiliams was in town and you know Columbus can't have too many major events going on at the same time. I must admit that i was somewhat nervous and my skills as a deejay were tested. The closest metaphor that I can create was it felt like fishing and no one was biting....throw something out there and see if they bite. Then throw something else.....then a bite!!! It pops off something fierce and then I don't stop till the cops starts shaking the can of Mace......

Then Saturday I have to head to Cincinnati to do the Mid Month Affair. That wouldnt be so bad just the fact that I had to goto Akron at like 7am and spend a good part of the day being a coach. So basically I had about 4 hours sleep...
The Mid Month Affair was a good look too. I was glad to get out of Columbus and start to spread my wings. The people putting it on worked it out and we KICKED it!! The women were grown and S-E-X-Y(mad that I had to work) and the fellas kept it cool and partied and that's what I really like to see . People who come to party. Now I will say that it followed a similar vibe in that it started a little slow. I think the promoters were a little nervous too but then I looked up and I tell you it looked like they all got off the same bus! Seems like old school will always get the people going(but you already know that) and I'm sure that we will be back and I have more stories to share. Then after all of that, I headed BACK to Columbus....

I would like to thank good living and no drinking and a fast car(shout out to the Acura) to getting me back home safe and sound...

Until the next time...
