The mystery around Heavy D's death has found some answers today. TMZreports the rapper died from a pulmonary embolism caused by deep leg veinthrombosis. Heavy was onboard a long flight back to L.A. from the Michael Forever Tribute concert in Wales, which may have also been a contributing factor.
A pulmonary embolism is a blockage of one or more arteries in the lungs. It is most often caused by blood clots which travel in from other parts of he body. Deep leg vein thrombosis is often associated with long plane flights, in which a clot can form due to prolonged immobility.
Doctors from the L.A. County Coroner's Office say Heavy also suffered from heart disease. The ailment is lilkely to be another contributing factor to Heavy's Death.
