Shout out to Q-Tip!!

Finally back from his eight-year hiatus, Q-Tip gives hip-hop a much needed boost on the charts this week.

The Abstract Poetic lands at No. 14 with The Renaissance -selling 34, 219 CDs according to Nielsen’s Soundscan.

Meanwhile, T.I. hasn’t budged from the No. 10 position. This week, The Paper Trail moves another 68, 782 units to bring the album’s tally to 1, 116, 409 copies sold.

Further down, Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter III is amazingly on the upswing. This week, the self-proclaimed “best rapper alive” climbs one spot to No.22 by selling 23, 960 CDs. Weezy’s latest release has sold 2, 648,682 LPs to date.

Young Jeezy has also seen his numbers rise over the past week. Selling 19, 598 sets, The Recession jumps five spot to No. 26 -moving 598, 571 CDs. -Bruce Moses
